Tina Columbus is MA Student in Exhibition and Experience Design, at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Architecture & Design from the Technological Institute of Athens, Greece. There she challenged her creativity in various directions and experimented in different creative fields; Interior Architecture and Branding to Set Design and Spatial Narratives. Tina focuses on Concepts that can transform spaces into attractive, memorable and mind meddling experiences for the visitors.

Previously, Tina worked as an Interior Designer for the international creative office Blocher Partners, in Germany. There she collaborated with interdisciplinary teams on numerous projects, such as hotels, retail spaces, restaurants and banks, involved in all the stages of the design process. Recently, she collaborated with Taf Architects, after winning a competition for designing and building the Athenian Headquarters of the International Marketing Agency, Publicis. During their work, Tina’s team aimed on conveying the Brand’s message throughout the design. Moreover, Tina has worked in the entertainment field, by taking part in short films and tv spots as a Production and Costume Designer Assistant.

Tina has also participated in numerous competitions, including the “inHeritage”, a Design Sprint organized by Piraeus Bank Group Cultural Foundation. The team’s winning project “mined-scapes” aimed on developing a strategy based on the cultural importance of the location, to attract new audiences.

Volunteer Activities
Tina Columbus volunteered in a number of projects in Europe. She designed the Logo of “Pammemazi”, a Greek NPO which supports Cancer patients. She also tutored in the MEDS Serbia design workshop, creating a project that connects the visitor to the Serbian fauna and flora. The project was featured in Milan Design Week 2018.

With a special interest in ways that brands and concepts can be translated into space, Tina Columbus pursues innovative ways and psychological techniques to form new exhibition formulas that attract audiences.
