Thomas Earnist is a Fabrication Design Consultant for Gensler who has 30 plus years experience in the field of Environmental Graphics and Design. He specializes in concept and design development for Public Art and Environmental Graphics. Earnist also has extensive experience with design details and contract documents.

Earnist began his career by building a foundation through education. He graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 3-D Design and Interior Design. He then followed that by graduating from the ArtCenter College of Design with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design and Environmental Design.

Thomas Earnist’s career has been built out of various positions, in various fields, at various companies. This includes; Fabrication Designer with Walt Disney Imagineering, where he worked on the Fabrication Design for Hong Kong Disneyland, Senior Design Director at Selbert Perkins Design, Concept, Design Development and Project Management with Site Insight Inc., and Consultant with SKA Design.

Earnist has also run two personal businesses, Tom Earnist Environmental Design (1995-2008), and Tom Earnist Art & Design (2009-Present). Both of these businesses have focused on consulting for Environmental Graphics, Fabrication Design, Project Management, and Contract Documentation.

Thomas Earnist is currently a Fabrication Design Consultant for Gensler, where he develops branding and wayfinding fabrication details from design drawings for Gensler.
