Traditionally, car parks are uninviting and disorientating, sometimes to the point of being dangerous. The BrandCulture Communications design team was intent on turning this around at the World Square Car Park, by creating a welcoming environment that is simple to navigate and easy to understand.
Originally built for freight trains in the 1930s, the High Line is an elevated rail structure on Manhattan’s West Side that has been turned into the city’s most popular new park. The structure was saved from demolition by Friends of the High Line, a community-based non-profit organization that advocated for the preservation and reuse of the structure as a pedestrian promenade. In 2011, Phase 2, from West 20th Street to West 30th Street, was opened to the public. The first section, from Gansevoort Street to West 20th Street, was opened in 2009.
ANZ bank, renowned for its strong work culture, has a new head office in Melbourne— home to more than 6,500 staff and now the largest single-tenanted commercial office building in Australia.
Inspired by the riverside setting and the maritime character intrinsic to Docklands, the fluid forms and powerful internal spaces contribute to a commanding presence. The design evolved around the concept of an urban campus, focused on a central common, with a hierarchy of shared spaces, an openness fostering interaction, and a rich variety of settings providing scale and complexity.

In addition to his contributions to the practice, Cody Clark teaches in the Environmental Design Department at Art Center College of Design and has served as the Los Angeles and Southern California Chair for SEGD.
Finding a parking space may be one of the most grueling aspects of living or working in New York City. And chances are, drivers will end up in one of the city’s 1,100 parking garages. Once inside one of these cheerless concrete caverns, other challenges emerge.
BrandCulture Communications was commissioned by The University of Technology Sydney to design a wayfinding and graphics system that fulfills occupational health and safety requirements for the space while engaging students through the school’s workspaces and fabrication studio.
VeloCity is a comprehensive system for helping convey information about bicycling resources to potential riders. Created by Erin Williams as her MFA thesis project in Visual Communication Design at the University of Washington, it focuses on urban bicycle commuting and uses the city of Seattle as a case study to test design and sociological conclusions.
P-06 Atelier’s wayfinding design project for the new EPAL Central Laboratory (the Portuguese Water Company), was developed in partnership with the architect Gonçalo Byrne. The building contains two upper floors of laboratories, as well as a parking level.
The Boy Scouts of America’s Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia is the new home of the 10-day BSA National Jamboree, which attracts 40,000 scouts and an additional 50,000 visitors for the event held once every four years.
