Udo Schliemann brings over 30 years of experience to Entro, specializing in identity development, environmental branding, and signage and wayfinding design. Udo’s unique approach to design problems, fostered by the mentorship of renowned German artist Anton Stankowski, combines artistic and poetic sensibilities to create powerful designs, which elevate the everyday experience. Principal Creative Director at Entro (Toronto), Udo Schliemann, recently completed an art installation at high-end kitchen design showroom bulthaup (Toronto). In Schliemann's artist's statement, he writes:
In July, Udo Schliemann, principal creative director at Entro (Toronto) completed work on an art installation commissioned by Oxford Properties Group for their WaterPark Place building to honor Canada Day 2018. Schliemann's representation of the Canadian Flag uses the existing wooden louvers high up in the east lobby of Waterpark Place and the two-story void underneath.
Since 1880, The Royal Canadian Academy of Arts has continued to represent many of Canada’s most distinguished visual artists and designers. The mission of the organization is to encourage younger generations, ensure the collection of works by living Canadian artists and host events for the exchange of ideas. Through a peer-driven process they also honor artists and designers who have achieved particular excellence and innovation in their field, with the coveted RCA distinction.
Deloitte Canada moved their headquarters into a new building, requiring an interior experiential graphics package and wayfinding for 16 floors. Together with the architect and Deloitte’s in-house design team, Entro worked to fulfill the client’s corporate commitment to supporting changing work styles and encouraging a sense of community among employees. The client wanted the environment to reflect their work as well as create a built environment intended to inspire, encourage, engage and cultivate growth, learning and collaboration.

WASHINGTON, DC—Paul McConnell,Design Director at Intersection (New York), a technology, experience design and innovation firm, will serve as Jury Chair for the 2017 SEGD Global Design Awards. He leads a team of eight celebrated designers practicing in a range of disciplines from wayfinding to interactive experiences.

Alberta Hospital Ponoka Wayfinding Signage Program
This hospital site is a campus-like complex in a parkland setting south of Ponoka. The architectural organization of spaces, the single-story character of treatment buildings, their residential-like finishes, and plans that optimize daylight entry into rooms are important features of the facility design.
