KIPP NYC College Prep, a charter high school in the South Bronx, strives to create an environment of success, providing the academic knowledge, real-world skills, and character its students need to thrive in life. Just in time for the new school year, Pentagram created high-impact graphics that amp up the school’s “Knowledge is Power” message using puzzles, games, and riddles integrated into the learning environment.
A Pentagram team led by Eddie Opara was tasked with creating event graphics, wayfinding, and a digital experience for Platform Summit 2014, a conference of the non-profit organization promoting minority participation in technology and entrepreneurship.
Pentagram’s Natasha Jen and team designed the graphics and exhibition for New Practices New York 2014, AIA's biennial competition to recognize and promote new and innovative architecture and design firms.
The MIT Media Lab is an interdisciplinary research laboratory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology devoted to projects at the convergence of technology, multimedia, sciences, art, and design. Pentagram’s Michael Bierut and his team designed a dynamic new identity for the lab that continues the institution’s traditions of timelessness and flexibility.
Created by Pentagram’s Abbott Miller and team and produced and curated by Monotype, the 2014 exhibition Century: 100 Years of Type in Design was designed to celebrate the incredible diversity of typefaces and their integral role in design over the past 100 years.
For the Tadao-Ando-designed Centro Roberto Garza Sada arts school at the Universidad de Monterrey, Pentagram’s Abbott Miller designed signage, wayfinding, and environmental graphics that complement the raw physicality of the building with clean, crisp shapes and sleek, smooth surfaces.
