Designtex (New York) recently announce that Casper™ Cloaking Technology has been honored as a finalist in the Workplace category in Fast Company’s 2018 Innovation By Design Awards, which celebrates innovative design in business. This year, the contest received over 2,800 submissions across 16 categories. Designtex was honored amongst many other big names such as Google, Nike and Stanford University.

McKinney ISD Stadium and Community Event Center recently partnered with Daktronics (Brookings, S.D.), to manufacture and install the largest high school video display in the country. The north end zone video display measures 54-feet-wide by 32-feet-tall and features Daktronics patented 13HD pixel layout. For comparison, the display stands seven feet taller than McKinney North High School and, if set on its side, is just five feet shy of McKinney's five-story hospitals.

DLR Group recently announced the appointment of Adam Wells, Experiential Graphic Design Leader, to Principal within the firm. Throughout his time at DLR Group, Wells has been instrumental in fulfilling its brand promise to elevate the human experience through design. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to create the Experiential Graphic Design Studio (XGD Studio), a unique in-house suite of services that provide DLR Group clients with a variety of turn-key graphic solutions—from branding to wayfinding to interactive solutions.

Recently, experiential graphic design and communication firm, BrandCulture (Sydney) posted a Q&A with their Operations Manager, Leigh Tinkler. Tinkler has been with the firm since 2010, but before developing a passion for design, she traveled the globe as a professional dancer, performing with well-known acts like Robbie Williams and Cher.

Winton, Australia lies 1,356km north-west of Brisbane, surrounded by Matilda country. According to the Australian Traveller it is the dinosaur capital of Australia; paleontologists from around the world flock to the harsh and unforgiving outback to discover dinosaur bones.

Winton is also the birth place of the famous Australian bush ballad, “Waltzing Matilda.” Banjo Paterson wrote the lyrics to the legendary song nearby at Dagworth Station in 1895. It was first performed at Winton’s North Gregory Hotel the same year.
