bluecadet in NYC

After 10 years and with over 40 cadets in their hometown of Philadelphia, Bluecadet announced the opening of their second studio, in New York. The office is located in Chelsea among the galleries and steps from the High Line. It offers Bluecadet the opportunity to expand their services, skills and capabilities and allows them to hire some old friends while making some new ones.

JP Atlanta by Poulin + Morris

"The challenge of JP Atlanta,” said Richard Poulin, “was to create an identity with a clear reference to the 1960s and the era of the initial development of Peachtree Center without producing something static or dated.”

Experience design firm ESI Design (New York) hired award-winning architectural and product designer Anthony Deen as their new Director of Physical Design. Deen will oversee a multi-disciplinary team tasked with designing retail environments, museum exhibits, corporate installations and large-scale media experience projects.

BookHampton by Pentagram

Pentagram created an identity that features a wordmark set in the literary serif Didot, with the clean, modern Futura as the supporting font. The logotype is accompanied by a distinctive mark that combines the iconic shape of an Adirondack chair and books on a shelf. A color palette in cool shades of ocean blue completes the new look.

Discovery Zone by Skolnick

A larger-than-life sculpture of a Zebra Longwing butterfly (Florida’s state butterfly) and its host plant, the Passionflower, form a centerpiece to the exhibit. Other self-directed activity areas encourage visitors to Play (pre-schoolers), Pretend, Explore and Study through interactive and collections-based experiences.

Buro North for Virgin

To address the very narrow space of the check-in hall at Perth Airport, Büro North developed a staged delivery of information aligning to the steps passengers are required to complete through the check-in process. In addition, Büro North’s evidence-based wayfinding approach to the project reduced the number of signs planned for the project by approximately 30%.
