To honour the memory of Randy Johnson, our friend and colleague who passed away earlier this year, an award at George Brown College has been created in his his name – the Randy Johnson Memorial Award. 

During his professional career, which included over 20 years at Entro, Randy left an indelible legacy, designing and managing large-scale industrial design, placemaking, and wayfinding projects. Randy nurtured many designers throughout the years and helped them establish their careers in the industry.

ArtHouse Design created a name, brand, and wayfinding package for the upscale Chroma Apartments by Shea Properties. Taking inspiration from the project’s colorful name, ArtHouse designed a one-of-a-kind monument sign that glows internally, as well as a full suite of supporting wayfinding and theming elements.

Each placemaking element was designed with the details in mind. The gravity-defying scale of the "Welcome Home" letters and the luminescent  monument signs make an impact as you venture through the property.

Constructed between 1923 and 1928, Highline High School has been woven into the fabric of the community for nearly a century. While the primary architectural move was a to recreate the historic north entrance and reuse salvaged terra cotta elements of the main entry to reflect the civic importance of this building, the experiential graphics team at Bassetti Architectscreated visuals that layer in an atmosphere of school and community pride for the Highline Pirates.
