With more than 20 years experience in high-level, complex graphics and wayfinding programs in the US and beyond, Susan brings vast experience to her diversified and talented teams at Pentagram. Susan is a senior EGD specialist for three partner teams in the New York office. She is leading multiple projects, including a large-scale multi-use project in Miami with Paula Scher, multiple international projects with Natasha Jen, and the recently completed Barclays Center with Michael Bierut.

Alexander Isley

Alexander Isley is a Connecticut-based identity, communication, and environmental designer. Alex first gained recognition in the 1980s as the senior designer at Tibor Kalman’s influential graphic design firm M&Co. He went on to be the art director of the funny and fearless Spy magazine before founding his firm in 1988. Alex has taught at the School of Visual Arts, The Cooper Union, RISD, and has been a lecturer and critic at the Yale School of Art. He is past president of AIGA New York.

Abbott Miller

Abbott Miller was born in Indiana and studied design at the Cooper Union School of Artin New York. In 1989 he founded the multidisciplinary studio Design/Writing/Research where, in collaboration with Ellen Lupton, he pioneered the concept of “designer as author,” undertaking projects in which content and form are developed in a symbiotic relationship. He joined Pentagram’s New York office as a partner in June 1999.

Eddie Opara

Eddie Opara was born in Wandsworth, London in 1972. He studied graphic design at the London College of Printing and Yale University, where he received his MFA in 1997. He began his career as a designer at ATG and Imaginary Forces and worked as a senior designer/art director at 2×4 before establishing his own studio, The Map Office, in 2005. He joined Pentagram’s New York office as partner in October 2010.

On Thursday April 17, the New York Chapter hosted a Small Talks. Big Ideas with Arlon Graphics where members gathered for a presentation entitled  From Walls to Windows and Doors to Dynamic Installations: How to qualify the proper films for the right installation by Kevin Rourke, National Specifications Manager with Rob Moore National Accounts Manager and Michael Aybinder Regional Sales Manager (Northeast).
