New Israel Fund annual report

Beth Singer Design (Arlington, Va.) designed an annual report for the New Israel Fund that helped increase fundraising by 6% over the previous year. In the report, each of the Fund’s success stories jumps off the page with a commanding, one-line opener and a larger-than-life picture that immediately communicates the organization’s passion for the cause.

Fiberoptic Lighting - National Great Rivers Research & Education Center

Fiberoptic Lighting (Grants Pass, Ore.) worked between a rock and a hard place to place an interpretive map within existing space at the National Great Rivers Research & Education Center (East Alton, Ill.)

The firm also created a fiber optic outline within a giant postcard located at the Grand Coulee Dam Visitor Center in Washington state.

Hunt Design - Harvest Moon Studio

Hunt Design (Pasadena, Calif.), with Harvest Moon Studio, created an interactive visitor center for popular Los Angeles County park Vasquez Rocks, a familiar backdrop for television shows and movies. The 2,000-sq.-ft. permanent exhibit introduces visitors to the trails and rustic rock formations of the famous landscape and features Tataviam artifacts, a large topographic map, and displays of historic and natural information.

Perkins+Will

Perkins+Will (Chicago) announced that its New York office has been selected as a design advisor to the Task Force for Mayor Michael Bloomberg's "Mayor's Carbon Challenge" program for commercial offices.

The program includes 10 global corporations (including JetBlue, Google, Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, and JP Morgan chase, among others) that have accepted the challenge to reduce their greenhouse-gas emissions by up to 40% over the next 10 years.

Signs of Success (Lynbrook, NY) recently installed new storefront identity signage for Suit Supply in the Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta. The installation was the first in a new partnership as Signs of Success begins the company’s U.S. roll-out. The new face-illuminated signage floats in front of the store’s sliding louver system.

Solid Light designed the Kentucky Derby's new infield experience

Solid Light (Louisville) designed the Kentucky Derby’s new infield experience, The Infield: The Most Festive 26 Acres in Sports. The team’s challenge was to communicate the adventures of the day-long bash and they did it using true stories, a prop-filled photo booth Port-O-Let, and other surprises. Visitors can Tweet their own infield memories for display in real time.

W&Co.

W&Co. (New York) completed the design and development of the 2013 national AIGA conference website. AIGA asked W&Co. to build a conference site that would bolster their message and build excitement for the October event.
