In 2018 founded marketing design company "Constructive Design” offering different types of design solutions to improve the company's image.
Steps leading to opening “Constructive Design” began as a student taking part in the student innovation platform Demola. Where I had my first experience with wayfinding design challenges. I offered an idea about an interactive personal map machine. It included personal wayfinding maps and other guiding systems for airport services in Riga International Airport. The proposed solution got the second stage of innovations of that year.
The Design Studio H2E is a multi-disciplinary, award-winning design company offering a wide range of services for both - public and private sectors. They develop complex design solutions for graphic, interior, product and exhibition design spheres.
Design Studio H2E believes that the environment in which we live, the things and services we use must be qualitative, functional and easy to understand.
Since 2016, Dagnija Balode has served as Partner and Chief Business Officer at Design Studio H2E.
Previous to becoming Partner and Chief Business Officer, Dagnija Balode was a Project Manager for several projects in Latvia and abroad in the field of graphic, interior and exhibition design as well the wayfinding. The most recent exhibition design projects are “Aluksne Banitis Station”, “Jānis Čakste’s House”, the Latvian War Museum exhibition “The Latvian Population during the First World War”, and the Riga Motor Museum’s permanent exhibition.
Inguna Elere is the Co-founder and Lead Designer of Design Studio H2E. Design strategies, concepts, interior, exposition and graphic design are her daily life. Inguna Elere holds a Masters of Arts Degree in Environmental Art from the Art Academy of Latvia. She is now a Professor at the Design Department of the Art Academy of Latvia.

In turn, Latvian designers, inspired by their country’s own historical challenges, are aiding Ukrainians fleeing the destruction of their home country.

On October 1, the Riga chapter hosted the city’s first-ever Design Walk. More than 500 people attended this day-long event, visiting 22 different stops and enjoying 32 events.
