One of the most desperate battles in Australian history was fought in August 1942 at Isurava in the Papua New Guinea Highlands. To commemorate the event, the Australian government commissioned the design and production of a memorial to coincide with the 60th anniversary of the event.
Matt Stone and Trey Parker, the wits who created South Park, tapped Rockwell Group to collaborate on the art direction for their new film, Team America. Rockwell Group led the production team in the creation of the film's unique and unexpected visual language. Simplified views of the cities and settings reflect the myopic viewpoint that Team America has as the World Police force.
This plan creates a renewed sense of place as the neighborhood rebuilds, pays homage to Downtown's importance to the beginning of the city's history, and looks confidently toward its bright future.
