APCO Signs (Atlanta) introduced Imagine, a new eco-friendly, image-infused modular sign system. The system offers an extensive library of images and patterns, allowing users to communicate a brand, support an image-based wayfinding program, or enliven an otherwise ordinary design. The graphics portion of the signs are updatable and the system is easy to maintain, says APCO.

BrandCulture (Sydney) designed a customer experience for Queensland Gas Company’s new Brisbane command center to signal the completion of the network construction and the beginning of operations.

The firm was also engaged by Mirvac to reconsider wayfinding for The Greenwood Plaza in North Sydney; the project is in production and will bring a new and refreshing approach to navigating retail environments.

Daktronics (Brookings, S.D.) revamped 12 curved, high-resolution LED displays in the Grand Court at the Mall at Millenia (Orlando, Fla.). Designed for locations that can accept only the highest image quality at the closest viewing distances, the new displays feature technology that takes advantage of 3-in-1 SMD (surface-mount device) LED to produce exceptional brightness, unsurpassed viewing angles, and incredible picture detail, says Daktronics.

Frost* Design and Arup collaborated on the VIVID Light Walk

Frost* Design (Sydney) and Arup collaborated on an interactive laser installation for the VIVID Light Walk in Sydney. RICOCHET featured an intersecting network of laser beams above the narrow Suez Canal laneway. The installation reacted to the movements of passersby, triggering a series of light and audio displays to characterize sparks of idea generation.

Infinite Scale - State Farm Center

Infinite Scale (Salt Lake City), in collaboration with AECOM, designed the brand integration layer for the historic Assembly Hall renovation, now State Farm Center, in Champaign, Ill. Work included concepts for graphics, wayfinding, and fan experience starting from the outside of the arena all the way into the seating bowl and field of play. The holistic application of branding and messaging is designed to help energize the fan base, including alumni-specific gathering areas, with pure Illini identity.

Lee. H. Skolnick Architecture + Design Partnership

Lee H. Skolnick Design + Architecture Partnership (New York) received the FIT Graduate Exhibition Design program's Star Award last month in New York. The Star Awards, given during the school's Capstone Event, recognize significant supporters of FIT and the Exhibition Design program. Since its inception, LHSA+DP has sponsored FIT interns, several of whom have gone on to join the firm.
