Jinyi Cinemas Guangzhou Haizhucheng IMAX

Jinyi Cinemas Guangzhou Haizhucheng IMAX, nicknamed “Meteor Cinema,” is a two-story cinema located in a shopping mall in Guangzhou. The process of filmmaking inspired the One Plus Partnership, Ltd. design team to think of a meteor shower. A movie takes years to complete; it is the result of the hard work of a large team of people. The designers wanted to pay tribute to filmmakers through the design of this cinema, reminding audiences of the passion and effort filmmakers have cultivated for their relatively short-lived enjoyment.

Building a wall between the U.S. and Mexico was a focal point of the 2016 U.S. presidential election; the idea has turned attention to the border between the two countries but ignores the point that they coexist in a complex synergy. Designed in collaboration with FR-EE / Fernando Romero Enterprise in response to the official theme, “Utopia by Design,” “Border City” is the Mexico installation at the first annual London Design Biennale.

A permanent installation featuring 5,880 arcade buttons is delighting visitors to the public lobby of Google NY at 111 8th Avenue.

The project began when Google was renovating the lobby of their New York flagship building and needed a new sign. It couldn’t be just any sign; it needed to be something that was visually interesting, interactive and evergreen. It also had to represent Google’s brand in look and spirit.
