The Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP) Research Report 177: Enhancing Airport Wayfinding for Aging Travelers and Persons with Disabilities provides guidance to assist aging travelers and persons with disabilities to travel independently within airports using pedestrian wayfinding systems. Kevin Daffon

Kevin Daffon is a mechanical engineering student at the Georgia Institute of Technology with a minor in industrial design, expected to graduate in Fall 2015. Kevin has nearly three years of research experience working with robotics and design, and over a year of work experience in product design. He is looking to broaden his horizons and strengthen his skills within mechanical design.

Kevin Daffon volunteers for Habitat for Humanity of Northwest Metro Atlanta as crew leader, and serves as president of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers - Georgia Tech Chapter.

Stanley Beaman & Sears (Atlanta) designed wayfinding signage for the Georgia Institute of Technology’s Clough Undergraduate Learning Commons. The wayfinding scheme borrows visual cues from airports and transit stations to direct students to science laboratories, technologically advanced classrooms, and student-centered academic services, using directional signage and floor plans that resemble transit maps.
