Doug Morris has extensive experience in alternative sign technologies that support information and wayfinding with state-of-the-art electronic information display systems, interactive media, and live- action transmission.

Doug Morris's work has been published in periodicals and books worldwide and has received awards from American Corporate Identity, American Institute of Architects (AIA), The American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA), Applied Arts, Boston Art Directors Club, Global Corporate Identity, Graphic Design USA, Graphis, and Society for Experiential Graphic Design (SEGD). He is also coauthor of Wayfinding: Designing and Implementing Graphic Navigational Systems, published by RotoVision.

Doug Morris is past President and board member of the Society for Experiential Graphic Design and former chairman of the organization’s annual international design awards program, entitled Diversity in Design. He is a member of American Institute of Architects, The American Institute of Graphic Arts, and the Society for Experiential Graphic Design.

Poulin + Morris - NPR Commons

Poulin + Morris (New York) shared recent work for NPR Commons located in Washington, D.C. Along with designing a permanent, interactive lobby exhibition and developing a comprehensive environmental graphics, donor recognition, and wayfinding sign program for the new NPR Headquarters in Washington, the firm also created a branding and identity program for the organization's new brick-and-mortar retail store NPR Commons.

Poulin + Morris (New York) designed a comprehensive environmental graphics and wayfinding sign program for the renovation of the ABC News headquarters located at West 66th Street on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Along with bringing the headquarter’s sign program into code compliance, the designers created an environmental graphics program that celebrates the varied aspects of ABC News production, including editing, production, and broadcast.

Poulin + Morris (New York) created a permanent, interactive lobby exhibition titled This is NPR for NPR’s new headquarters in Washington, D.C.  The 70-ft.-long exhibition, spanning the length of the new building’s lobby, consists of a reader rail supporting two tiers of angled panels displaying narrative text, images, video monitors, and interactive audio listening devices featuring detailed information about NPR.

Poulin + Morris (New York) developed a comprehensive environmental graphics, donor recognition, and wayfinding program for the Abraham Joshua Heschel School in New York.

 A new eight-story, 145,000-square-foot building was constructed to unify the school's campus and accommodate the growing student body. Poulin + Morris devised a vibrant color-coding system and modular sign panels to assist with wayfinding and identification throughout the building.

Poulin + Morris (New York) announced new projects including a comprehensive environmental graphics and wayfinding sign program for all public and non-public areas of 7 Bryant Park, a new 474,000-square-foot mixed-use office tower in midtown Manhattan. The project includes main identification, lobby identification, tenant directory, tenant identification, service- and code-related signs, as well as interior identification standards for future commercial tenants.
