WASHINGTON, June 22, 2022 — This year's winning projects in the SEGD Global Design Awards were announced on June 17, 2022, during the in-person 2022 SEGD Global Design Awards Ceremony at the SEGD Conference hosted at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Portland, Oregon.
The 38 winning projects span a range of topics, disciplines, and verticals, highlighting the role of design in addressing themes of tolerance, equity, sustainability, protest, and change. From monuments to victims of enslavement and persecution to immersive explorations of words, moving images, science, and more; to places that thoughtfully welcome people back to the workplace, school, and public spaces. This year's award-winning designers truly showcased the power of design to tell critical stories, bring people together, and inspire positive change worldwide.

​​​​​​​Women’s History Month is here! and throughout March, SEGD will feature stories related to the accomplishments of women within the field of experiential graphic design.
First up is “Seat at the Table,” a re-posting of a recent article featuring Dome Collective’s award-winning exhibition of the same name. Located inside Philadelphia’s Kimmel Center and extended through March 31,  Seat at the Table celebrates the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment and asks the question “Where are we now?” Katie Lee and Lynn Kiang (Dome Collective, M/WBE) won the SEGD 2021 Sylvia Harris Award for their innovative design of this exhibition.

We’re still riding a high from the 2021 SEGD Conference Experience Philadelphia and celebrating our award winners! On Day 2 of the conference, Katie Lee and Lynn Kiang (Dome Collective) received the SEGD Sylvia Harris Award for the design of Seat at the Table. This exhibition, located inside the atrium of Philadelphia’s Kimmel Center, recognizes the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment and asks the question “Where are we now?”
