At Milan Design Week 2017, the Samsung Galaxy design philosophy of “no borders, no boundaries” was brought to fulfillment in an immersive interactive brand experience designed by Zaha Hadid Architects and Universal Everything.
Universal Everything recently collaborated with Apple to create a series of emotive 3-D wallpapers for the new iPhone that animate in response to human touch. The animations played a central role in the Apple event on September 12, 2017 at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California, to launch the radically redesigned iPhone X, and the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus.
SEGD’s Xlab returns this November in New York with a focus on change and innovation in experience design. This year’s theme, Experience Design in the Era of Disruption, will showcase how disruption is impacting experience design and the way people are using and interacting with places and spaces.

Building a wall between the U.S. and Mexico was a focal point of the 2016 U.S. presidential election; the idea has turned attention to the border between the two countries but ignores the point that they coexist in a complex synergy.
