Margaret Paxhia-Poppaw

After graduating from Kent State University in 2015 with a Bachelor's of Art in Graphic Design, Margaret Paxhia-Poppaw started as a Junior Designer at Corbin Design, a multi-disciplinary design firm in Traverse City, in January 2016. Her interest in environmental graphic design was sparked after taking an internship course during her junior year at Kent State. Soon after, she knew she had found her career path.

Hesper Smyth

Hesper Smyth is an environmental graphic designer who is experienced in large interior and exterior wayfinding programs, corporate rebranding, and project management—with a special emphasis on healthcare wayfinding systems.

Hesper Smyth joined Corbin in 2001, bringing with her two years of experience with other graphic design firms in Ohio. She was promoted to senior designer in 2006.

Corbin Design was established in Traverse City, Michigan in 1976. Since then, we have earned a reputation as a leader in wayfinding and signage design throughout North America. We employ 12 people, including seven designers and three project managers. In 2002, we became employee-owned, giving each staff member an increased stake in the success of our firm and its clients. Our wayfinding clients include 110 medical centers, 60 cities and towns and 40 colleges and universities.
