SEGD Raleigh had the opportunity to talk with North Carolina State University College of Design seniors about Experiential Graphic Design on Wednesday, October 16, 2019. SEGD Raleigh representatives educated the students on unique career paths they could explore with their future graphic design degrees.
SEGD Denver hosted a late-summer tour of the Denver Botanic Gardens with iZone imaging on a beautiful, golden hour evening recently. Our friends at the Denver Botanic Gardens guided us through the lush foliage to learn about what goes into making such a unique place. The tour guides discussed approaches to signage, wayfinding, public art, horticulture and Colorado's climate that go into the placemaking efforts that take place at the gardens throughout the year.
Thank you to everyone who attended our ‘Behind the Design at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium’ event last month. It was great to see so many people there from the SEGD community and beyond at what was only the second event we’ve staged in London, and the first in our series of educational events, offering expert insight from professionals from across the world of experiential graphic design.
The CRUSH WALLS festival is a unique event in Denver that brings together artists from across the globe to create the murals that light up the RiNo neighborhood.
At the beginning of September, the SEGD Denver chapter teamed up with the RiNo GID and the North Denver Cornerstone Collaborative to bring the community together to paint a mural at the intersection of 39thand Wynkoop. It was the perfect Denver Sunday, with the sun shining, and we had an amazing turnout of volunteers that collaborated to bring the vision of artist Anthony Garcia to life.
