Available Light

Steven Rosen

Hey there! I founded Available Light--a Lighting Design Studio headquartered in Boston--a few decades ago. We are lighting designers specializing in Museum Exhibition, Architecture, and Trade Shows. I have loved lighting and design since I ran the light board for Annie Get Your Gun in the 7th grade and I still pinch myself when I think about how I have forged a career out of light; a must wonderful and intangible medium. I am most proud of the diversity of our work and the team with whom I collaborate everyday. We have studios in Boston, NYC, and Raleigh.

Sony Wonder Technology Lab

World of Wonder

The second-generation Sony Wonder Technology Lab negotiates a new deal between technology, architecture, and experience.

In many ways, the newly renovated Sony Wonder Technology Lab—Sony Corporation of America’s interactive, free-to-the-public museum in midtown Manhattan—reflects the evolution of our love affair with technology.

Liberty Science Center

Walking the [Technology] Talk

At Liberty Science Center, visitors use technology and new media to interact with—and even change—museum content.

In a world where science and technology dramatically affect our everyday lives—think global warming, pandemic disease, and nanotechnology—science museums share the critical mission of educating visitors to make good choices about the way they live, work, and play.

In 2005, New Jersey’s Liberty Science Center looked in the mirror and faced the fact that it wasn’t up to the task.
