Adeline Ross is a graphic designer and aspiring linguist with a passion for aiding and observing humanity in its various pursuits of compassion, respect, and understanding. She believes that the first role of design is to assist in other forms of communication where depth in words will not do, to extend oneself beyond the barriers of linguistic and cultural restrictions to make all audiences feel heard. That any issue, large or small, is often due to a lack of either empathy or understanding.
Dimensional Innovations, an experiential design, build and technology firm in the Kansas City area, expanded by opening offices in Atlanta and Minneapolis on November 1.

Yang Lu is a student pursuing her Master's degree in Interior Design at the Savannah College of Art and Design, and will graduate in 2018. Her undergraduate background is Art and Design from Shanghai University, which lets her have passion and proficient knowledge on both graphic and environmental design. She is interested in branding, commercial design such as retail space and workplace design. And she has been pursuing strong ability on modeling and rendering with art and visual effect for long time.

Sasha Egorova started her career as a graphic designer in 2007 and transitioned into environmental graphic design three years ago when she joined APCO Signs. She creates architectural signage presentation drawings for various clients and works closely with sales representatives nationwide to design visually appealing and functional signage. Sasha believes that a designer’s first responsibility is to serve people by creating better communication between people and environments.

A wonderful turnout in Atlanta for our first project tour of the year. Distinguished leadership, dedicated sponsors, SEGD ATL members and friends alike shared in this informative tour, which highlighted a wonderful diversity of design, fabrication and installation solutions.
Following the tours, we had plenty of time to take in the ballgame and catch up with old friends and colleagues and form new relationships with industry leaders.
Local members of SEGD Atlanta presented "What is SEGD?" to graphic/web design, illustration and interior design students at The Art Institute of Atlanta on April 26. Chapter co-chair Steve Dubberly of SRSSA reached out to SEGD member and AiA design faculty Sue Youngblood to coordinate the event. Steve provided an overview of SEGD and brought EG magazines to give to students.
In 2014, the Center for Civil and Human Rights opened in Atlanta as a place for education, connection, collaboration and action. By challenging visitors to understand their role in helping others and empowering them to “take the protection of every human’s rights personally,” the museum sheds much-needed light on a variety of global issues and, most importantly, the people experiencing them.
The design brief asked the Second Story team to explore the theme of “time” by imagining a future world based on “plausible present technologies, ideas or milieus.” The temporary installation would live in public spaces along a downtown Atlanta block during “Creative Loafing’s Best of Atlanta” annual party.
