Fiberoptic Lighting - Baystate Children’s Hospital in Springfield

Fiberoptic Lighting (Grant’s Pass, Ore.) recently completed a fiberoptic point-of-interest element for Baystate Children’s Hospital in Springfield, Mass. The 2-foot-wide by 4-foot-tall and 3-inch-deep “star juggler” is located in the reception area, and assists with wayfinding in the hospital. Frost* Design

Frost* Design (Sydney) designed the garden-inspired identity for Matt Moran’s much-anticipated Chiswick restaurant in Sydney’s Woollahra. Every element of the design has a botanical influence, from the logo, featuring tendril-like typography, to the restaurant’s soft muted palette and sustainable materials.

Harbinger

Harbinger (Jacksonville, Fla.) opened a gallery space in its new facility in Jacksonville. Called Florida Mining, the space is named after the quarry that formerly sustained the area and the street on which it’s located. It provides a space for local artists to showcase their work and is also a meeting space for local non-profit groups.

Hunt Design - Childrens Hospital LA

Hunt Design (Pasadena, Calif.) designed colorful signage and wall graphics for the new Marion and John E. Anderson Pavilion at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. The program integrates wayfinding, donor recognition, and child-friendly wall graphics that reflect Southern California’s distinct natural surroundings.

The Hunt team worked with ZGF Architects to create the program for the state-of-the-art facility, which was recently honored by the Los Angeles Business Journal as Best Medical Project of 2012.

Pentagram - Air Transport Association

Pentagram (New York) Partners Michael Gericke and Michael Bierut developed a new name, mission statement, and identity for the Air Transport Association, the trade organization of the principal U.S. airlines. Rebranded as Airlines for America (or “A4A”), with the tagline “We Connect the World,” the association is represented by a symbol of five planes coming together to form a star, a visual metaphor for a group of airlines working in concert for their country.
