Amy Blackman was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. After receiving an Master of Arts in Cultural Anthropology from Colombia, she moved to Los Angeles, where she discovered her work-passion-play, Band Management, which she did for 18 years.
Her career culminated in managing Grammy-winning bands and producers, touring the world and being named a Cultural Ambassador for the U.S. State Department. The ambassadorship included producing public diplomacy missions in regions that had never before seen live music from the West, such as Nepal, Myanmar, Madagascar and Mongolia.
