Leonard Garfield

Leonard Garfield is Executive Director of Seattle's Museum of History & Industry, an award-winning history center with a collection of 4 million historic artifacts and a robust schedule of exhibits and programs related to the history of Seattle and the Pacific Northwest.

 

Leonard Garfield led MOHAI in the move to a new museum at Lake Union Park and a new Resource Center in Seattle's Georgetown neighborhood, both of which opened in 2012.

Taylor Reed

Raised in Spokane, Taylor Reed, 27, was a junior at Seattle Pacific University contemplating a career as a marketing guru or musician when one afternoon in a frame shop the manager mentioned he had a "special eye" for visual imagery. Something clicked, he shifted his focus to graphic design and never looked back.

Gabe Kean

For 18 years, Gabe Kean has been designing interfaces and leading teams to create innovative experiences for clients that include brands and museums like the Harley-Davidson Museum, The Clyfford Still Museum, Umpqua Bank, The American Battle Monuments Commission, Experience Music Project and The Smithsonian Institution. His design work and the projects he has led have received awards and recognition from Communication Arts, Print, How, I.D., Critique, The One Show, SXSW, AAM MUSE Awards and Museums and the Web.

Ted Leonhardt

Ted Leonhardt is the founder and publisher of NAIL, a magazine dedicated to helping creatives thrive in the modern world. Starting in Seattle, Ted founded and built the brand design firm The Leonhardt Group which he sold in 1999. In 2000 he was recruited to the position of Chief Creative Officer/Global at Fitch Worldwide in London where he helped assemble 27 design offices including The Leonhardt Group under the Fitch banner.

Duffy De Armas

Duffy De Armas is a partner and founder of House of Sorcery and one half of the artist duo, Electric Coffin. He has spent his career exploring ways to push beyond the formal boundaries of art and creativity. By approaching the commercial world through an art lens and bringing the refinement of modern process and material to folk craft, his goal is to highlight the value of intersecting art and commerce in our daily lives.

David Miller

David Miller, FAIA, is a nationally-recognized architect known for pursuing innovative sustainable and high performance design strategies while responding to each site’s unique conditions and surrounding context. David served in the Peace Corps after graduating from Washington State University in 1968. His focus on self-help housing in Brazil laid the foundation for his award-winning housing designs on projects across the nation. David Miller’s early architecture training was also gleaned at SOM, Chicago, Arthur Erickson in Vancouver, B.C.; and Rhone Iredale in Vancouver, B.C.
