Vicki Sundstrom, PE, started her career as a traffic engineer in Landside Operations at San Francisco International Airport. Today, she manages the signage program that helps SFO’s 41 million annual domestic and international travelers navigate four terminals and seven boarding areas. She will be a keynote speaker at the SEGD/ASMN Airport & Transportation Workshop September 25-26, sharing how SFO continues to innovate the passenger experience.

Joseph Labozan

Joseph Labozan is the founder and principal of Labozan Associates. For over 25 years, he has developed, designed, managed and implemented a wide range of Environmental Graphic Design projects covering numerous wayfinding and branding issues. He has worked with some of the largest firms in the world assisting them with Environmental Graphics projects nationally and globally. In the span of his career, he has helped to create and manage projects totaling well over 450 million dollars in hard costs.

Richard Gurley

Richard has 14 years of experience in the DFW Airport Planning Department, with a focus on airport signage, traffic signals, and special projects.  He is currently involved in DFW’s $2B Terminal Renewal and Improvement Program (TRIP) which is replacing all interior signage for four (4) terminals and a new 7700 car parking garage. To address the needs of TRIP, Richard has created an airport-wide Wayfinding Master Plan and Signage Standards Manual.

Christopher Poe

Dr. Christopher Poe is an Assistant Director at the Texas A&M Transportation Institute.  In his current position, he is leading intelligent transportation system (ITS), transportation operations, connected transportation, and toll road research and implementation projects.  Dr. Poe also serves as the Head of the Research and Implementation Division at TTI where he oversees 70 transportation researchers on a variety of projects in the TTI Dallas/Fort Worth, El Paso, Houston, and San Antonio offices.  Dr.
