Susan Verba is an Associate Professor at UC Davis Department of Design in San Francisco.

Susan Verba is a designer and Associate Professor in the UC Davis Department of Design. Susan Verba is principal and co-founder of Studio/lab, where she leads research-based projects and advocates for the value of design in corporate, nonprofit, and government communications.

Studio/lab recently served as the base of operations for the design and development of The University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) / North Lawndale bid to host the Barack Obama Presidential Library. Their proposal seeks to re-imagine what a presidential library can become, asking not simply where the Library should go, but rather what it can do. Studio/lab offers a vision where the Library is not on a site, but of a site—where the energy of the city enters the Library and the knowledge and discourse instigated within moves out to the city, the nation, and the world.
