With more than 20 years experience in high-level, complex graphics and wayfinding programs in the US and beyond, Susan brings vast experience to her diversified and talented teams at Pentagram. Susan is a senior EGD specialist for three partner teams in the New York office. She is leading multiple projects, including a large-scale multi-use project in Miami with Paula Scher, multiple international projects with Natasha Jen, and the recently completed Barclays Center with Michael Bierut.
Susan’s experience branches many disciplines including real estate, hospitality, healthcare, retail, sports & entertainment, education, municipal/civic and corporate. Susan has based her work from New York offices since 1995, but has managed work in various US cities and abroad.
Susan lead more than 15 complex signage projects simultaneously while at the New York branch of Gensler. These projects totaled more than 3.5 million square feet. Her clients included Bank of America Tower and MetLife Tower, both at Bryant Park. In addition, Lenovo headquarters in NC, Comcast Center in Philadelphia, various UBS offices, and other legal and financial corporate clients.
Some of her project history, during her 10-year tenure with the firm Lebowitz/Gould/Design, includes Loews Miami Beach Hotel and Westin Diplomat Hotel & Country Club in Hollywood Florida. Also in New York, Susan lead teams for Steiner Studios, Ernst & Young corporate headquarters in Times Square and the Downtown Brooklyn Vehicular and Pedestrian Wayfinding program.
Susan has been an active member of SEGD since 1994. Her work has received numerous awards and showcased in publications, including SEGD and Interior Design Magazine. Susan received a Bachelor of Environmental Design/Visual Design from the School of Design at North Carolina State University in 1987.
