Susan brings vast experience to the field of Experiential Design, with more than 20 years in managing design and implementation of high-level, complex branded graphics and wayfinding programs in the US and beyond. Susan is the Technical Director for the Environments team in the New York office of 2x4. She is currently leading multiple projects together with 2x4 partners and directors, including large-scale cultural, tech, retail and civic clients, working with world-renowned architects. Based in New York since 1995, Susan also had a 10-year tenure with Pentagram, as well as Gensler and Lebowitz/Gould Design.

Project/client history includes Google, YouTube, Lincoln Center, Rockefeller Center, Academy Museum, Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, International Center of Photography, Comcast Center, Avenue of Stars in Hong Kong, and the original Downtown Brooklyn Wayfinding Program.

Susan led an SEGD Conference tour of her completed Pentagram project, Barclays Center in Brooklyn in 2014. She managed the project with Pentagram partner Michael Bierut. Susan was also was a speaker at an SEGD Talk on Experience and Exhibition at NCSU College of Design, her alma mater, in 2012. 

Susan has been an active member of SEGD since 1994. Her work has received numerous awards and showcased in publications, including SEGD and Interior Design Magazine. Susan received a Bachelor of Environmental Design/Visual Design from the School of Design at North Carolina State University in 1987.
