Spagnola & Associates Designs Identity for Film at Lincoln Center

Read Time: <1 minute

Recently, Spagnola & Associates (New York) designed a totally new identity program for Film at Lincoln Center, formerly known as Film Society at Lincoln Center, just in time for their 50th anniversary gala. With a compressed timeline for completion, Tony Spagnola says he trusted his design instincts and went with clean, classic DIN for the typeface and incorporated a refreshing violet color, giving it a distinctly contemporary feel. The film reel logomark was influenced by the op-art movement, which Spagnola reminds us, "like film, is all about optics—the way light and the eye interact."

The Film at Lincoln Center identity was recently featured in Communication Arts
