Simon Buijs, Senior Art Director, BUCK

Simon Buijs is a Senior Art Director at BUCK, Amsterdam. He has worked as a Designer and Art Director for the past 15 years, working on projects varying from illustration systems, animated TV series, movies, and games. He enjoys projects where the playing field is a combination of illustration and animation, or mixed media, and his clients have ranged from Amnesty, Squla, Spotify, and more.

In addition to BUCK, Simon is part of a small Dutch publishing company focusing on inclusive storytelling and workshops. He has also taught visual design classes to bachelor and master's students at various Dutch art schools for the past eight years, as well as acting as an editor and discovering new artists for the Playgrounds Festival.

Next to spending time with his wife and two kids, Simon likes creating things like wooden toys, making children’s books, or a delicious limoncello.
