Signature Design

Signature Design is a unique collaborative of planners, designers, writers, content developers, architects, model-makers, illustrators, and animators who seek to create a captivating experience for visitors to natural and cultural sites through the practice of interpretive planning and design. Since 1993, we have worked on projects big and small, public and private, indoors and outdoors.
Interpretation is an art and a public service that combines information with inspiration to provide visitors with a richer experience as they explore a new place. Our goal is to convey the authentic story of these ecological or manmade environments in a respectful, memorable, and meaningful way.
Telling stories that connect with audiences on a deeper level requires dynamic collaboration between historians, archivists, storytellers, writers, and our clients. Our team of content developers focuses on diving into the heart of a story to reveal universal truths and create lasting memories for visitors.
We combine our skills in graphic design, signage and wayfinding, three-dimensional displays, exhibit design, and interactive design in novel ways and use state-of-the-art materials that visitors will continue to enjoy for years.
In addition to projects across the United States, Signature Design has completed assignments in China, Canada, Europe and South America.

Mayor Ivan Allen Jr. Legacy Bridge Project.
PATH Foundation, City of Atlanta, GA
Design 2016. Construction 2017.
Signature Design was commissioned to design an iconic bridge to celebrate the historic former mayor of Atlanta who championed business pragmatism and peacefully integrated the city of Atlanta during the turbulent Civil Rights era.
Concept for the Bridge is “Celebration of Atlanta” The ribbons of color symbolize the evolution of Atlanta from a small southern city to the vibrant international city it is today. The Bridge is always a physical bridging of the racially divided east and west sides of Atlanta. Alongside the pedestrian pathway of the Bridge is an interactive graphic reader rail.
