Shawn Harrington is a Principal at Asterisk in Austin. Asterisk designs integrated brand experiences that build understanding, inspire action, and engage people with one another and their surroundings.

Shawn Harrington's career spans over twenty-five years as a creative director and teaching professional. He co-founded Asterisk in 1999 after holding art director positions at Tocquigny Advertising + Design, HIXO, and SicolaMartin, all in Austin, as well as ImageMatrix, Dallas. He has collaborated with not-for-profit organizations, Fortune 500 companies including Dell, Motorola, AMD, NEC, IBM, PepsiCo, and Cisco, and for clients in education, aerospace, retail, healthcare, public relations, real estate, and technology.

Shawn Harrington earned a BFA in Communication Design from the College of Visual Arts and Design at the University of North Texas and is a past lecturer of Communication Design at Texas State University. He is an active member of the design community and serves on the Advisory Board for AIGA Austin.
