SH Acoustics is the leading specialist in acoustics and audio for museums, exhibition galleries, corporate exhibits and themed entertainment venues. We work with architects, exhibit designers, multimedia producers and AV integrators to achieve optimum quality and control of sound in many types of spaces.
SH Acoustics consists of acoustic and electroacoustic consultants with diverse backgrounds that include architecture, music, live sound, studio recording, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and general construction. We also have a number of highly qualified Strategic Alliance Partners who provide the necessary resources that allow the SH Team to be extremely responsive, accurate and unique in our design, documentation and coordination efforts.
With a typical role on projects that starts in early design and extends through fabrication/installation phases and concludes with a high level audio tuning and calibration effort, our proven process ensures that all plans for media and exhibit audio programs succeed in the built environment to the highest possible extent.
Led by the firm's owner, Steve Haas, our work has included numerous small to medium-sized regional museums such as the Stax Museum of American Soul Music, Statue of Liberty Museum and the Birthplace of Country Music Museum, as well as major institutions, such as the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History & Culture, US Holocaust Memorial Museum, the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, the Newseum, the Museum of the American Revolution, and the Museum of the Bible.
With offices in the NYC and Los Angeles areas, SH Acoustics is excited to bring our expertise and experience working with digital media producers and exhibit designers to the SEGD organization.
