June 11-13, 2020
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, the Society for Experiential Graphic Design (SEGD) will not be holding the 2020 SEGD Conference Experience Portland. The 2021 Conference will be held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and the 2022 Conference will be held in Portland, Oregon.
Find inspiration as you recharge and reconnect at the 2020 SEGD Conference Experience Portland.
This annual SEGD gathering is the only conference specifically created for the experiential graphic design community—experiential and environmental graphic designers, architects, landscape architects, interaction designers, branding and strategy experts, technology integrators, fabricators, makers and clients involved in the design of place and experience. The three-day event focuses on inspiration and education, with a playful and provocative combination of hands-on workshops and charrettes, tours, networking socials and an expo floor with technical skills talks, called NEXPO.
We're excited to welcome you to Portland and are thrilled to announce a few changes to the conference format this year:
- A Young Designer Series will give those new to the profession more time to connect with peers and mentors with daily meet-ups and specialized programming, including a group lunch. More info on YDS
- The Global Design Awards will be held one day earlier, on Friday, so you will have the opportunity to spend more time connecting with award winners.
- The Portland Chapter will host a Global Design Awards After-Party and Auction at the Melody Ballroom in SE Portland to celebrate the winners and we'll be launching a new auction and raffle format with specialty items from global SEGD members and Portland's local artists and designers.
- On Saturday, we'll celebrate a Day of Excellence with the SEGD Fellow & Achievement Awards followed by featured presentations on groundbreaking projects by Global Design Award winners.
The City of Roses, Stumptown, Bridgetown and Portlandia is ready for SEGD!
