SEGD SF Explores Responsible Design

Tuesday, June 20, 2017 - 6:30pm to 9:00pm

Responsible Design can hold many meanings to different people across disciplines. Please join SEGD for an evening to explore responsible design through the lens of the built environment. Our 3-part panel discussion will feature speakers from different design disciplines, including – Graphic Design, Experiential Design, and Urban Design.

We hope that you can join us for an evening of inspirational presentations and engaging discussion as we explore responsible design at various scales within the built environment.

We are excited to announce our panel!

Guneet Anand is an urban designer who is continually inspired by cities around the world and how people inhabit them. At SITELAB urban studio, Guneet is the Project Manager of the Pier 70 mixed-use development in San Francisco.

Tim McNeil is a principal with the design firm Muniz/McNeil and a Professor of Design at the University of California Davis. With over 25 years of experience developing exhibition, signage, and interpretive environments, his research and practice seeks to define the exhibition design field and its impact on communities and audience engagement.

Sabiha Basrai is a member of Design Action Collective — a worker-owned cooperative dedicated to serving social justice movements with art, graphic design, and web development. She is also Co-Coordinator of the Alliance of South Asians Taking Action where she works with racial justice organizers to fight against Islamophobia.
