Notice of Risk

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present, including SEGD in-person events. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease and you should evaluate your own risk in determining whether to attend any public event including SEGD in person events. As a condition of SEGD in person participation, you will be required to abide by all current facility rules, posted instructions, and protocols while on premise at an SEGD event, which may be periodically revised in accordance with public health guidance or requirements.

We appreciate your cooperation as we strive to make the participant experience as safe as possible for all. Although preventative measures set forth by the facility are intended to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, we cannot guarantee you will not be exposed during SEGD in person events. By registering and/or attending an SEGD in person event, you acknowledge the risks. You also acknowledge notice of and agree to follow all facility rules, posted instructions and protocols. By attending an SEGD in person event, you acknowledge and agree that you are voluntarily assuming all risks of exposure to COVID-19 and agree to release, waive and discharge SEGD, the facility, and all related and affiliated individuals and entities for the event in which you are attending, from all claims directly or indirectly arising from your participation at the event.


Registration Cancellation and Refund Policy for In-Person Conference and Events

Cancellation must be received by SEGD in writing by email. Up to five weeks before the first day of the event you may cancel your participation; payments will be held by SEGD but may be applied to other purchases within one year of the date of cancellation by the participant. After that date, there will be no refunds unless the event has been cancelled by SEGD. If you are sick or diagnosed with COVID-19 at the time of an SEGD in person event, do not attend the event. Contact [email protected] for a credit to be used towards future events or SEGD membership.


Virtual Programming and Webinars

Please note that in order to continue to provide quality programming, our policy is not to issue refunds unless an event has been canceled. Once payment has been received by SEGD, there are no refunds for virtual programming and webinars. However, SEGD will send participants video of the event once it is complete.


Membership, Sponsorship, Firm Listings and Podcasts

Once payment has been received by SEGD, there are no refunds for membership, sponsorship, or podcasts.
