Samantha Nako is Lead Designer at Dimensional Innovations. She holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan School of Architecture.
As a Detroit native, Samantha joins DI after living and working in Sidney, Nebraska for the last several years. Her design passion lies within the process of turning an abstract idea into an immersive built reality – and getting to witness people interacting with(in) the finished product.
Previously, Samantha Nako worked at Cabela's as a theme design manager. She designed original and localized themed experiential elements and displays within large-scale retail environments, worked with vendors to create and produce sign packages and in-store branding material, and served as a liaison between store design/construction teams and experiential design team. Before that Samantha was a designer at Dynamic Designs & Associates, Inc. where she designed entertainment facilities, and created innovative 3D renderings of interior and exterior views of projects to assist the client in the visualization of design possibilities and realities.
Samantha Nako is excited to donate her hours to Habitat for Humanity Kansas City, as well as enjoy the culture (sports, museums, concerts, etc!) that Kansas City has to offer. In her spare time you can also find Sam zen-ing out at the local yoga studio, reading a book on the porch, planning her next hike with her boyfriend (and puppy), or practicing shooting her new bow.
