With the smell of sawn wood in the air, fresh joint compound on the drywall and the feel of a framing hammer in his hand Ronnie Mesa grew up on the job site of his father’s custom home construction business. There he learned from that master carpenter the patience of the build, the vision of the end product and the foresight of next steps. He was taught the strength of structure, the economy and use of space and the appreciation for the final form.
In those early days sketchbook and pencil were always close by which led him to pursue courses in mechanical drawing, commercial art, (when that was a thing), old school sign painting and finally advertising and graphic design at Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design. He made his way to Florida in the mid 90’s to work in the sign industry and spent those early career days as a junior designer learning the basics of interior and exterior architectural sign design and production from veteran sign professionals.
Today Ronnie has brought his years of education and experience to Poblocki Sign Company in the Florida Business Unit as a senior sign designer and wayfinding programmer. His main focus is sales support through considerate and inspired design, fabricator support through comprehensive and detailed drawings and estimator support through thorough sign programming.
