Robert Haverty is Director of Passenger Information Systems for the Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport)—host of the 2017 SEGD Wayfinding event.
Robert Haverty started at Massport in 2010 as Assistant Director of Passenger Information Systems. In this role, he was responsible for developing operating and capital budgets in support of organizational objectives; developing standard operating procedures in support of an international transportation hub's passenger-facing information systems, such as web, mobile, and digital signage; and identifying, planning, and executing initiatives to constantly improve the stability and performance of Massport's passengers systems.
Prior to joining Massport, Robert Haverty worked as a Sr. Business Systems Programmer at Corporate Technologies, planning and implementing an enterprise-wise Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and working with end users to solicit requirements, turning them into technical deliverables.
Robert Haverty has also served as Manager of Internet Applications for Nuance Communications and Messaging and Groupware Manager for Lernout & Hauspie, Senior Lotus Notes Developer for American Power Conversion and Application Developer for SAIC.
He attended New Hampshire College and the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
At the 2017 SEGD Wayfinding event, Robert Haverty will explore how airports are embracing and deploying innovative digital passenger experience platforms and are managing their spaces and assets with technology that puts users needs first.
