Richard T. Walsh has worked for and alongside some of the greatest names in the creative and business world including The Walt Disney Co., Universal Studios, Saul Bass, The Jim Henson Company, The Irvine Co., ABC TV, Nickelodeon, Entertainment Tonight, Cartoon Network, The Edison Company, Sunkist Fruit Growers, BMI, Participant Media, The Patina Group, Wolfgang Puck and many more.
As a Concept Designer and Design Director for Walt Disney Imagineering, Richard Walsh helped create some of the most widely viewed projects in the world, including Disney’s California Adventure, Disneyland, Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Euro Disney and Tokyo Disneyland.
His design company, Amalgamated Studios, won many awards including The International Council of Shopping Centers, The Themed Entertainment Association, Urban Land Institute and Signs of the Times. Richard’s work has been featured in publications and online by Logo Lounge, House Industries, Retail Architecture and an SEGD sketchbook feature.
Working with Factory Signage & Graphics as the preferred signage design/build company for Caruso Affiliated, Richard Walsh participated in the creation of one of the country’s premier outdoor shopping destinations, The Grove, along with several other award winning Caruso projects.
Volunteer Activities
Richard runs popular drawing workshops at the LA Zoo and local museums as a way to get designers “back to the basics” of drawing from life.
