Rich Tugade
Rich Tugade is a seasoned graphic designer with years of versatile experience ranging from corporate identities to entire branded environments. He has been involved in the ideation phases of brand strategy and conceptual design, as well as the later realization efforts for retail, entertainment, work place, and food service projects. Although the majority of his clients are domestic, he has extensive experience working on off-shore projects including China, the Middle East, and the Caribbean.
With his deep grasp of the entire design and implementation process, Rich Tugade has been involved with all phases of projects as they have evolved from thumbnail sketches to national rollouts. His focus is on designing elements that are ultimately manufactured and applied to the built environment. Rich is well-versed in the programming and location of signage, as well as code compliance and the challenges of the permitting and approval process per municipal ordinance or owner criteria. He also has extensive knowledge of best practices in the documentation, fabrication, material selection, connection, and illumination of architectural signage and environmental graphics.
Currently, Rich Tugade is part of the wider Environments Studio at CallisonRTKL, representing the Seattle office. His latest projects include wayfinding, brand and identity signage and graphic programs for clients that range from a leading, global travel agency to one of the largest and oldest shopping malls in the United States. He received his BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Florida in 1994.
