Poulin + Morris Continue Work with Barnard College

Since its founding in 1889, Barnard College has been a distinguished leader in higher education, offering a rigorous liberal arts foundation to women in the heart of New York City.

Following Poulin + Morris’ successful branding and graphic identity program for the College’s 120th Commencement, the firm continued to work with this preeminent women’s college on a comprehensive environmental graphics, donor recognition, and wayfinding sign program for its 4-acre campus located on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.

The Poulin + Morris (New York) program features a new brand identity "crest" interpreted in circular bronze and frosted glass elements prominently located at main entrances and secondary gateway entrances throughout the campus. For example, a large-scale bronze crest is inlaid in brick pavement at the ceremonial main entrance to the campus; circular crests hang from perimeter gates of the campus perpendicular to the street, highly visible to pedestrians and passing cars; and large-scale, two-sided, identification elements are located at each of the four corners that define the campus perimeter—West 116th Street, Claremont Avenue, West 120th Street, and Broadway.

Poulin + Morris continues to work with Barnard College on the identification and branding of building exteriors and event spaces, campus and building directories, changeable informational displays/kiosks, and a donor recognition program.
