PJ Wilcynski has been working with Boeing for 36 years, the last 16 of which he has been part of the Product Development team. During that time, including 22 years in management, PJ Wilcynski has been actively engaged in all levels of passenger cabin design, from airplane level configuration development to feature strategy and detailed design efforts. Mr Wilcynski has supported or consulted on all models, including 10 years in the development of the 787.
As a result of his configuration knowledge and development efforts, PJ Wilcynski has had the opportunity to engage with airlines around the world in gathering requirements and sharing preliminary designs. His conceptual design effort in Product Development has resulted in the issuance of 7 US patents.
Currently, PJ Wilcynski is an Associate Technical Fellow supporting all commercial airplane programs and as Payloads Chief Architect is focused primarily on the development of the 777X interior architecture and features with Boeing’s design partner Teague. Building on the success of the 777 and 787 Dreamliner, the 777X will be the largest and most efficient twin-engine jet in the world, unmatched in every aspect of performance. However, performance is just part of the story. The cabin interior of the 777X is inspired by the comforts and conveniences of the 787 Dreamliner and includes larger windows, a wider cabin, new lighting and enhanced architecture — all of which will be custom-tailored for a unique 777X experience.
