Pisti Gamvroulas is a recent graduate from the University of Utah, located in Salt Lake City, UT. Pisti received her BFA in Art Studio, with an emphasis in graphic design. While studying inher design program, she was introduced tp the field of Environmental/Experiential Graphic Design (EGD), and fell head over heels for it. Determined to learn more about EGD beyond the classroom, Pisti interned with the talented design team at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History, in Washington D.C., in the Summer of 2019. There, she explored exhibition design, visitor experience, and a multitude of other skills and processes. After traveling back to Utah to finish her studies, she continued to learn and connect with designers in the field, and applied much of her learnings to her current work.
As a student at the University of Utah, Pisti was active in a wide variety of campus communities, and found joy interacting with those around her. She was the Vice President of the University of Utah AIGA, where she worked to create a safe and diverse space for creatives to collaborate and connect with one another. She was awarded "Class of 2020: Outstanding Senior" for the College of Fine Art's, Department of Art & Art History, based on her dedication and excitement to learn, explore, and collaborate with many creatives in the field of design.
Currently, Pisti Gamvroulas is very eager to more gain hands-on experience working in the field. Her desire to connect with others and learn their stories has elevated her passion for the field of EGD. Pisti intends to further explore the field of EGD, while working with a variety of designers and creatives to help tell stories, create experiences, and design spaces that connect people of all backgrounds with one another.
Pisti would love to spend time living in London, England, studying and exploring the art/design/EGD scene! Currently, she's a big fan of designer Timothy Goodman, and would ask his advice on how to create more work that brings people together.
