Oscar Valdez is a design director at Adoptive. Oscar tells stories through a visual language.
Originally studying children’s book illustration, he spent his formative years in Los Angeles, working at boutique design studios and established web properties. Oscar was immersed in the art of storytelling and media even before graduating college, creating digital animations, brand identity, and what is now called user-centered design.
In 2000, Oscar Valdez moved to New York, where he cut his teeth at various global advertising agencies including Zentropy Partners (MRM Worldwide) and Ogilvy Interactive. Oscar has worked on global campaigns for brands including Coca-Cola, J&J, IBM, National Geographic, American Express, AMC Network, and John Varvatos. Oscar has won numerous design and advertising awards from his peers, including those from Communication Arts, One Show Interactive, and London International Advertising.
At Adoptive, Oscar is at the nexus of strategy and design. He turns business insights and market intelligence into meaningful creative concepts, and oversees their execution and implementation.
