Last year, a record-breaking number of participants gathered in Las Vegas for the SEGD Branded Environments event at the Digital Signage Expo (DSE). If you were there, you know this event is awesome. This year's Branded Environments program will feature a diverse line-up of speakers whose work spans the globe. Learn from bright, innovative leaders, who are challenging the traditional expectations of how brand impacts environment.
Speakers at this year’s Branded Environments event will include:
Hyunmi Jenny Lee, Associate and Senior Graphic Designer, ZGF Architects: Since 2006, Hyunmi Jenny Lee has served as Senior Graphic Designer for project-based efforts and marketing, including environmental graphics, branding, storytelling, donor signage, wayfinding, print collateral, multi-page publications, and web design. In all her work, Jenny strives to create graphics that tell a story and create a unique experience for her clients.
Katie Sprague, Senior Vice President, CallisonRTKL: Katie Sprague leads The Environments Studio, a group that combines the best of branding, interiors, and environmental graphics. She is a branding strategist that brings complementary components to the traditional RTKL architectural design process, focusing on research, analysis and the human experience. Her international, award-winning branding projects span all the project types in RTKL's portfolio, from retail and hospitality to residential and healthcare.
Nathan Hill, Partner and Design Lead, Spaeth Hill: Nathan Hill's talent for digital design and branding led him to receive a Webby award for excellence in design for his creation of the first PBS video app for Apple in 2010. He established his own practice in 2010, Nh.d Studio, that focused on his roots in branding and publication design and was influenced by his interest in expressive and experimental design. Nathan joined the board of directors for DC's AIGA chapter since 2011, where he served as Education. He has since established Spaeth Hill alongside Jill Spaeth.
Angela Hill, President, Section 127: Angel Hill's experience in branding comes from her work with a variety of national and global brands including the NCAA, NFL, ALDI, MLS, General Growth Properties, Spanx, and Red Bull. She has also worked with several athletics conferences, colleges and universities throughout the country. She strives to cultivate a working relationship with Section 127's clients, collaborating with them to bring their creative and strategic visions to life. Angela is also an active member of SEGD and the American Institute of Graphic Arts.
Eric LeVine, Principal, NBBJ: Eric LeVine strives to create meaningful, expressive environments by integrating experiential thinking, relevant information, and artful graphic design. His work has revolutionized the way people move through—and are moved by—space. More than twenty-five projects he has collaborated on have won national and international graphic design, architecture and branding awards, and his work has been published in Interior Design, Contract, How, Print, Fast Company, Communication Arts, and the New York Times.
Joe Lawton, Director of Media + Marketing, Media Objectives: Joe Lawton oversees all aspects of the Media Objectives studio and his passion for creating holistic brand experiences became the foundation for M-O. He has led his team of 10, collaborating across three office locations, on some of their most prominent projects spanning different categories of design from wayfinding and environmental branding to displays and installations. He is currently working with a multidisciplinary team to develop a new architectural and graphic brand experience in Chicago.
Braulio Baptista, Architect, ZGF: Braulio Baptista's 20 years of professional experience have afforded him an intellectual curiosity and the talent to sensitively integrate user values and aspirations with creative, innovative approaches. Braulio specializes in technologically advanced and programmatically complex public and institutional buildings. His projects have involved planning, conceptual design development, technical and design coordination, and documentation.
Jill Spaeth, Partner and Business Lead, Spaeth Hill: Jill Spaeth's work at Spaeth Hill specializes in brand experiences, signage problems and curated moments. In 2014, she was the only woman of five nominees selected to sit on the national board of the largest professional association for design, AIGA. In working with AIGA, Jill oversaw the organization's programs and initiatives, focusing mostly on fundraising and scholarship development.
Eli Kuslansky, Founding Partner and Chief Strategist, Unified Field: Eli Kuslansky is a multifaceted designer with more than twenty years of experience who specializes in design technology, digital communications, immersive responsive environments, and integrated omni-channel media programs. He has managed the conceptualization and integration of advanced technology based systems in design communications for a variety of design firms and software companies. Eli is also an active member in industry-based associations, boards and committees.
