Nils Wiberg is an Interactive Artist and Interaction Designer from Sweden based in Iceland who holds a Masters degree in Human Computer Interaction and a Master degree in Cognitive Science.
Nils Wiberg's design work focuses on bringing Tangible Computing to the realm of exhibition design. As an Interaction Designer he specializes in the creation of immersive experiences where people reach insight through an unconscious process of intuition which leads to an insight. In this he strives to poeticize the distance between man and technology.
Nils Wiberg's art is likewise focused on generating insights and questions on complex matters of artifice, ideas, theories or prospects. Intangible design fictions through a range of media; be it a dress that adapts to the dow jones index, a government institute that collects the echoes of abandoned buildings or letting dancers explore the fidelity of interactive space. He hopes therefore to achieve parafunctional aha moments where the pretense of the design is the object of attention.
Over the year Nils Wiberg has given variety of talks both in Iceland and abroad. Gagarin was awarded an Honor Award by SEGD for the Eldheimar exhibition in Westman Islands, Iceland.
