New LED Display Lights up 101 Marietta in Downtown Atlanta

SNA Displays 101 Marietta

SNA Displays recently manufactured and supplied an 1,100-square-foot LED display system in downtown Atlanta at the 101 Marietta Street skyscraper formerly known as Centennial Tower.

The new digital comes from SNA Displays' EMPIRE™ line of exterior display products and features an 8-milimeter pixel pitch. The display system consists of 600 pixels high and 2,640 pixels wide, totaling 1,584,000 pixels. The installation includes two LED displays at the corner of Marietta Street NW and Ted Turner Drive, viewable to the entire intersection. The two screens meet seamlessly at a 115-degree angle.

Built in the 1970s and known for its signature Chevron architecture on the top of the building's facade, 101 Marietta is close to the Peachtree Center District and the Mercedes Benz Arena. The skyscraper joins a growing number of Atlanta Arts & Entertainment District-area sites erecting LED displays. The northwest-facing display, along Marietta St., is the larger of the two at 15'9" high by 44'1" wide. The LED screen along Ted Turner Dr., mostly facing the southwest, is 15'9" high by 25'2" wide.

As the exterior LED display system went live, it ran out-of-home (OOH) advertising featuring Coca-Cola advertising. Media sales are handled by BIG Outdoor, a privately held OOH media company.
