New Kids, Old Dogs

Wednesday, April 17, 2019 - 6:00pm to 8:30pm

Breaking into the creative industry has never been harder. How do people new to this highly competitive world start their journey, what do the successful people have in common and what can we learn from them. Not only is it hard for people to get their first break, how does the experienced creative, who wants a change, migrate over to a new field e.g. advertising to art, design to production, creative to founder. What advice would we give these individuals who still want to be creative, yet change their path?

Panel discussion moderated by Oliver Frend, Creative Director at Acrylicizeaims to explore the notions of breaking into the industry, as well as migrating across its different fields, offering stories, learnings and advice to an audience made from Seattle’s existing creative industry as well as those who wish to break into it, all from a panel of new creatives to the more experienced.

Featured Panelists:
Cal McAllister, Founder The Paper Crane Factory
Rosie Alyea, Founder Wide Eyed
Erik Molano, Founder Photon Factory
Becca Fuhrman, Art Director at The Derschang Group

Happy Hour / Networking starts at 6p.
