Since 2016 Natalie Maitland has been a graphic designer at the Cleveland Museum of Art, where she is responsible for designing and supervising the production of didactics and graphics for exhibitions and gallery rotations, as well as internal and external banners and signage. Working with various departments across the museum, she determines solutions for wayfinding and graphic applications, while managing outside vendors. Among many exhibitions, Natalie has designed materials for Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors, Basquiat: The Unknown Notebooks, William Morris: Designing and Earthly Paradise, and Georgia O’Keeffe: Living Modern.

Before joining the Cleveland Museum of Art, Natalie worked at Ohioboy Art & Design, where she was responsible for design and illustration projects for clients such as Tim McGraw, Chip Taylor, the Akron Symphony Orchestra, and South Lake Union Farmers Market. She was also involved in research and concept development, promotional design, web design, illustration, book design, branding, and creating identities.

While working toward her Bachelor of Fine Arts in visual communication design at Kent State University, Natalie interned at Ohioboy Art & Design, The Social Department, GO CHICAGO 4D! Convention, and Kent State University’s Fusion Magazine. Through her internships she gained practical experience in designing promotional material, newsletters, websites, postcards, and apparel for clients across the country.
